My Story

A Little About Me

I'm Karlynn Fulmer, a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) currently under the supervision of Kim Reil, LPC LAC. I provide therapy for teens and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, attachment and relationship concerns, substance use, and life's transitions.

I earned dual Master's degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling from Walden University, graduating in May 2026. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working in addiction treatment, school counseling, and recovery services — providing individual therapy, leading therapeutic groups, supporting individuals in recovery, and helping teens and adults navigate complex emotional and behavioral challenges.

I believe therapy isn't about "fixing" people — it's about creating the safety and connection needed for healing, growth, and discovering the strengths that have been there all along.

How I Work

My Approach

The relationship between therapist and client is one of the strongest predictors of meaningful change. I believe that therapy works best when you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are. My hope is to provide a warm, compassionate, and authentic environment where you can explore difficult emotions, process painful experiences, build healthier relationships, and develop practical tools for everyday life. Together, we'll work at a pace that feels right for you while honoring your strengths, values, and goals.

Therapeutic Approaches I Use

Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Attachment-Based Therapy
Mindfulness-Based Approaches

Working Together

What You Can Expect

Trauma-Informed Care

Every aspect of our work together is shaped by an understanding of how trauma affects the mind, body, and spirit — at a pace that feels safe for you.

Strengths-Based & Collaborative

I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. We'll work together to identify your unique strengths and tailor treatment to your individual needs and goals.

Genuine & Non-Judgmental

Whether this is your first experience with therapy or you've been on this journey before, you'll always be met with curiosity, respect, and genuine care.

Ready to Connect?

I encourage you to reach out with any questions or to schedule a free consultation so we can determine whether we're a good fit. I look forward to supporting you.
